A traditional, American version of shortbread.

  • ½ cup of cornstarch
  • ½ cup of icing sugar
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup of butter
  1. Preheat oven to 300°F
  2. Sift together cornstarch, sugar and flour.
  3. With a wooden spoon, blend in butter until a soft, smooth dough forms.
  4. Shape with a cookie cutter.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
